The Medical Board of Australia requires that all International Medical Graduates (IMGs) apply directly to the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) for assessment of their comparability to an Australian trained specialist. Further information on how to apply and the structure of fees can be found in the relevant sections
Before applying to the ACD, applicants must submit an application to the AMC for primary source verification of their medical qualifications. Please refer to the AMC website for more information: http://www.amc.org.au/
The Specialist Recognition Assessment Pathway is for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who are recognised dermatologists in their country of training and have passed all of their training and examination requirements. IMGs are required to apply under the Specialist Recognition Assessment Pathway if they wish to obtain specialist medical registration and practice independently as a specialist dermatologist in Australia.
