Dr Benjamin Carew

Initially practising as a general practitioner, Dr Benjamin Carew is now a visiting dermatologist at the Mater Hospital where he supervises training dermatologists and junior doctors.

He has worked as a Medical Educator at the University of Queensland, as well as with Queensland Rural Medical Education and more recently with the Australian Skin Cancer Academy (ASCA). In his role with ASCA, Dr Carew has been involved in the development and delivery of the Practical Dermoscopy course for College.

He is a general dermatologist with a special interest in the treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis and cutaneous malignancies, as well as medical education and teledermatology. Dr Carew also provides a range of laser and cosmetic treatments.
