The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) have released new resources explaining the changes to mandatory reporting requirements that will come into effect early next year.
The education campaign aims to encourage practitioners to seek the healthcare they need by removing fears that they’ll be subject of an unnecessary mandatory notification and provides greater clarity to treating practitioners on when they need to make a mandatory notification. It also highlights that the upcoming National Law amendments will change the threshold for when a treating practitioner must make a mandatory notification.
The suite of resources on what health practitioners need to know is available on AHPRA’s website.
