The Skin & Cancer Foundation Australia/The Skin Hospital is a leader in the area of dermatology services and has an established reputation for exceptional expertise and excellence.  The Foundation is a teaching institution linked to the University of NSW and St Vincent’s Hospital, The University of Sydney and Westmead Hospital.

The Foundation offers a number of accredited Dermatology Trainee positions annually; however, the Dermatology Research Fellow opportunity could suit a post graduate doctor who is looking for an accredited Dermatology Trainee opportunity in the future.

The Dermatology Research Fellow will be responsible for attending and participating in selected dermatology clinics where they will take direct patient responsibility and conducting research relating to the field of Dermatology.

It is an exciting time to join the Foundation, as we develop new services and expand clinical and surgical services at Darlinghurst and Westmead.

The position holder will be required to establish and maintain relationships across a range of partners and stakeholders, in particular liaising with pharmaceutical companies and relevant ethics committees, promoting trials, recruiting and examining patients periodically according to protocol and the preparation of papers for publication.

It would be most desirable for the successful candidate to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Must have completed two (2) years postgraduate experience
  • Previous clinical Dermatology experience is desirable
  • Competency using Windows based computer programmes
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
