In collaboration with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, researchers at the Centre for Eye Research Australia and the Australian Institute for Machine Learning and the University of Adelaide, College is conducting a survey on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This survey is being conducted to understand perceptions about AI in dermatology, including potential benefits and challenges. The term AI is used to describe the use of computer systems to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence. Applications of AI in medicine include image analysis for disease detection, diagnosis and triage.
The survey will take approximately five minutes to complete. Survey respondents will remain anonymous and no identifying information will be collected or disseminated. Approval of this project has been obtained from the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
The findings of this survey will be used to inform College policy and to guide the development of educational material for members. Survey results may be included in scientific manuscripts and research presentations.
